Step into the Caribbean Living Room

Experience a window into the lives of Caribbean migrants through our immersive 1950s-60s exhibit. “I really enjoyed the Windrush events I attended.

The Ashmolean events were a bit tricky to find but fitted in nicely with the museum. I especially enjoyed the talk about the typical WI living room. I thought Junny (Junie) handled the questions very well and gave an excellent presentation. Unfortunately, I missed the lecture. I attended the remembrance event which was amazing. The singing was wonderful as was Rev Eve Pitts. She was inspiring and gave us a lot of food for thought.”
